Linked Styles There are two basic types of styles in Microsoft Word; character and paragraph. Paragraph styles are used more frequently than character styles, and they are easier to create. It's important to understand both, however. Some printers may use a slight bit more space per line than others. A page that is full between the margins will then overflow on that printer.

Here is an added tip: If you press CTRL + SHIFT + K, the text will revert to small caps. Small caps is great for headings in documents.
If it’s not already open, open the Find and Replace dialog, make sure Use Wildcards is turned on, then leave just ( [) in the Find What field. In the Replace field, you only need 1. Then click the No Formatting button at the bottom of the Find and Replace dialog – there should be no formatting info below the Replace With field.
